On ebay there are a lot of sellers with unlocked phones. I am looking for a cingular phone, and some of the cheaper ones are unlocked. I separate that if you use an unlocked phone for a advantage other than the one the phone was made for, all you can do is calls and messaging. Is that the same if you use an unlocked phone for it’s intended benefit providor.

Sound phone, sleek looks.
I have had this phone well over 2 and a half years. It is always sure and there when I need it. The camera on the LG Vu is outstanding! It seems like it takes 6MP pictures but really it is 2MP. It has a simple owner interface and easy to use for the average consumer. The call quality is good too. The only flaw I found really is texting, with a full put to use screen QWERTY keyboard, it can be a little inaccurate sometimes. Overall 4/5 on this phone. Bad phone!!!!...horrible seller!!!!!!
This phone is as a matter of fact great. This was my first purchase online when it comes to buying a phone. This was also my first touch screen phone. The 4 Superstar rating goes to the phone. I've only had it a day, and it's performed very well, but the condition of all the other things that came with it weren't definitely "new". The OEM shop in NYC said that this phone was new. I knew that it was coming with a charger and all the other ammeneties (sorry for awful spellings) that a phone comes with. When the phone was opened, someone in my house informed me that there were minor small scratches on the back and several finger prints. I saw these as well and didn't really care, but it made me think about if the phone was in truth new. I started using the phone today, and the battery was obviously not charged well because it just wasn't because it's a new phone. I went to go exhort it, and the charger didn't work at all. I thought maybe it was the plug, but when I tried a different promote, the charger still...

Reminiscences it was a nice phone...
Bought this phone as a prize for my mother during Christmas...She had some trouble with it so i master reset and the problems seemed to go away. Within a month (a connect of weeks ago) she complained she couldn't charge the phone. I checked and sure enough it couldn't bill because the Charging port had detached and caved inside of the phone. I contacted the seller for a replacing and exchange but they never responded. Fortunately Amazon has a good claim service, i'now just waiting for a stalk up...

If you don't pine for to pay $30-40 a month for the latest data management plans by any of the current carriers, then you will enjoyment this phone. The QWERTY keyboard is well spaced and easy to use of course. The Quick jump mapping allows you to traverse your phone faster than any other phone I've had, (Iphone, T-mobile MDA, Behold, various flip, and released) The 3.2 mp camera takes good pictures without the flash, whitewashed pictures with the fly, and decent video. If you want a camera get a canon or nokia that will blow this or any other camera-phone out of the dampen in terms of price and function. It is extremely easy to put music on this phone as it is treated as an superficial hard drive when plugged in to your computer. Windows media player will add music in a comparable values bright and early frame with Itunes or Sharepod. The screen is crystal clear with beautiful color row. Champion!
Peculiar and tired of being tied to a contract with AT&T, I want to go for prepaid. I did some researches on several phones including the Sidekick LX. For all time, I decided to abandon my iPhone and go for the Sidekick. Since T-Mobile stop offering data system for Sidekick, I can use this smartphone without spending extra bucks (for the data plan that I rarely use). Its well intended keyboard make it a perfect phone for texting... Pros: - Freestyle life - Cool keyboard - Fast - Sturdy built - Sound quality - 3.1 Megapixel Camera - Leisurely to use - No contract Cons: - None so far

Considerable Phone
I bought this phone to make good on my broken Blackberry so I didn't have to pay alot of money. The phone is awesome. I can do all of my internet surfing still and Facebook updates. There are many downloads, and I still have my GPS with this phone. Fpr the appraisal, this is a steal. I definetly would recommend this as a replacement phone.

Unequalled Phone! finally motorola redeems itself
So coarsely, I'm in Costa Rica, the phone works just fine, is supposed to be 4band and 4team up 3G too so it will work with any carrier. I've had it for about 2 weeks and I can tell you is WONDERFUL. The screen is not hard to look at, is not too pocket-sized, the screen resolution is very good so all that crap you hear is untrue but of course if you compare it to an EVO or an iPhone parade obviously it will fall short. I have all sorts of apps installed on it and they work like a cultivatedness i send emails, sms, pictures quite fast, the processor runs like a enthral I use app killer because i'm a dork but is not necessary. Battery life was a huge concern i was affraid when i bought it and again proved to be a prevarication i just lowered the backlight brightness and i easily make it thru the day and back home and still have 15-25% vitality. The Only reason i give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because of 2 HUGE improvement opportunities: #1 the camera is from A to Z crappy... it will take your occasional...

Horrendous small phone. An Android entry level phone
This Motorola Fuzz MB511, is a very nice alternative for a new Android phone adopter. Low price compared with the big conceal models, real keyboard!!! excelent for email on the go, text sms, chat, and voip!!! all the applications you be in want of from de Android market. The first thing you must install is an AppKiller, because every app you open, remains in memory, you must manumit it killing unused apps. The screen resolution is not the best, but enougth for text, maps, email. It have A-gps, multitouch cull, very small square shape when is closed. Ideal for techie ladies, because it fits in any pocketbook, and brings great comunication tools. Or also an economic alternative for young texters and chatters.

Well-bred unlocked smart phone for the price.
I bought this unlocked phone to see me through the prop of my current cell phone contract after my basic non-smart phone gave up on existence. The main things that attracted me to this phone was qwerty keyboard, the price tag and the wifi capabilities. I don't currently have a observations plan and didn't want to get one, but live in a city where there's free wifi readily accessible just about everywhere.I've had this phone for just over a week and here are my main issues:Wifi/3G: The first thing the phone requires you do to is to set up an Palm use. The phone will automatically connect to 3G and uses data to do this. The phone also frequently checks for updates and if you set up your email through the phone it'll oft-times check in to give you up to date emails. I bet these are neat features if you have an unlimited data plan, but if you have anything less than unlimited you should be informed of the frequent updates and backups that will drain your data and cause...

Adroit price for the features
This isn't a top end stall phone nor was it when it originally came out. pros: It has a fairly responsive touchscreen and a qwerty keyboard. It's attractive thin. Cheapest in it's category. WiFi cons: Only supports up to WebOS 1.4.5 because of the old hardware. DOES NOT check in with data cable. Does not have its own manual, instead it's packaged with the non "plus" model's enchiridion, which happens to be CDMA, a major difference. Comments: Te phone it worth it, the old WebOS quirk is a non issue since most new software is probably too resource hungry, in any case it's still better than a non-smartphone, and if you as a matter of fact NEED a smartphone you should probably go for something with android or windows, for example. The packaging was crunched up when received, content that it served it's purpose in protecting the sweet sweet innards of the package. USB cable was withdraw, camera is so-so but better than nothing. tip: DO NOT format (erase all data)...

Gifted Interim Phone
I have nothing bad to say about this memo. While it is listed as an unlocked device, the unit cannot be used without a data plan UNLESS the palm make financial arrangements activation is bypassed. Hp/palm offers an activation bypass tool under their developer web pages that does this undeniably, after running some programs you must download. This process took me about an hour, and I was hesitant at first because the Hp/palm placement stated that inactivated devices would lose SMS and Phone functionality (what good is the device without these?!). However, I have the courage of one's convictions pretend that statement only applies to CDMA phone running an older version of webOS; I buried neither. The only loss for an inactivated device is access to the webapps, but if you're looking for a ton of apps, get an android phone or at best develop them yourself. I got this item for $81, and it arrived the NEXT DAY with my amazon prime account. For that price, where else are you flourishing to get an unlocked smartphone with a 600 mhz processor, 8 gb...

Would anyone distinguish where i could get an UNLOCKED sidekick (no preference in type.) I do not want to get one off eBay. I would like to know if there are any merit places to purchase one.
Bearing in mind unlocked is not a favorable thing by manufacturers, you're most likely not going to find an unlocked phone at a brick and mortar inventory. If you don't want to go the ebay route then try craigslist.
